Reykjavik
A unique wonder of Iceland, The Blue Lagoon is a result of volcanic activity.
Located in the middle of Svartsengi National Park, the huge lagoon is filled by naturally heated geothermal water. The startlingly blue water off-set against the white of the silica on the black lava rocks provides visitors with an amazing backdrop. As well as soaking and swimming in the mineral rich water, the Blue Lagoon offers in-water massage treatments, saunas and steam rooms. On any visit to Iceland a few hours soaking in The Blue Lagoon is essential.
