Bege dig på en dagstur från Sydney till den vackra Hunterdalen och lär dig lite om Australiens pionjärhistoria. Du får besöka små vingårdar och avsmaka viner, choklad och ost. Du får se inhemska djur på Australian Reptile Park och avnjuta en gourmetlunch på ett vingårdscafé.

You will begin the day with a visit to the award winning Australian Reptile Park. The park is home to creatures great and small, slippery and scaly, fluffy and furry. One of the most important functions of the park is the collection of venom from a vast array of snakes and spiders to make antivenins that save human lives. Enjoy a morning tea and meet and greet the animals.

Next you will travel along the Great North Road, built by convicts in the early 1800’s to provide a route from Sydney to the Hunter Valley, passing through the historic town of Wollombi and on to the first of the three winery visits of the day.

With more than 120 wineries, the Hunter Valley produces excellent wines, loved both locally and abroad. Today you will sample the local vintages and learn how to tell the difference between chardonnay and a pinot noir!

The day ends with a trip to Pokolbin for a tasting of artisan cheeses and chocolates, before returning back to the city
