Barossa Valley

45 recensioner

The Barossa Valley is world-renowned as a wine producing region. Northeast of Adelaide in South Australia, it was first settled by European immigrants in the early 1800s. They built towns and churches modeled on their hometowns and even today the Barossa has a distinctly European look and feel. The area is fertile for farming with a climate perfect for wine-production, hence its fame. These days the area is a major tourist attraction offering wonderful food and wine experiences, as well as locally produced cheeses. In addition it has golf courses, festivals, cycling and bushwalking.
