Panoramapunkt, or Panorama Point, sits on top of the Kollhoff Tower in Berlin and offers a fantastic panoramic view of the city from 328 feet up. It has the fastest elevator in Europe, taking only 20 seconds to reach the top. From the viewing platform, visitors can see parts of the former path of the Berlin Wall. In addition, many of Berlin's famous landmarks can be seen from here, such as Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Berlin Cathedral, the Berlin TV Tower, and the Gendarmenmarkt on the east, and the Federal Chancellery, Bellevue Palace, the Victory Column, and the Memorial Church on the west.
Panoramapunkt is located on Potsdamer Platz, which was completely rebuilt after World War II. Many highrise buildings were built in the square, including the Sony Center and the Kollhoff Tower. Panoramapunkt, which occupies the 24th and 25th floors along with a cafe, was completed in 1999.
