While there is plenty to keep you busy in and around Branson, Missouri, your visit really isn’t complete until you take in one of the city’s dozens of theater shows found along the 76 Strip. Centered along the 76 Strip, Branson’s theater district first sprung to life in the 1960s when the Presley family first established a permanent show. For decades known simply as the center of live country music, Branson underwent a transition in the 1990s to feature a wider variety of family-friendly entertainment. Today, nearly 7 million visitors enjoy the city’s famous shows each year.
Currently one of Branson’s most popular shows, the Liverpool Legends are also the only Beatles tribute band with a direct, biological connection to the original four. Meanwhile, the Rankin Brothers Classic Music Review features timeless rock’n’roll classics, including tunes from Elvis, Bruce Springsteen, John Denver, Neil Diamond, and even Sonny & Cher.
For something completely different, check out the Acrobats of China. The fast-paced show brings a taste of Asia to Branson with more than 40 acrobats performing. Other popular shows include the Oak Ridge Boys, the Gatlin Brothers, 3 Redneck Tenors, Grand Jubilee, the Hamner Barber Variety Show, Legends in Concert, the Pierce Arrow Show, and Presley’s Country Jubilee—featuring the fifth generation of the Presley family.
