Mollem National Park — 15 miles (25 km) from Goa
A wildlife sanctuary and national park just outside of the capital city of Panaji (Panjim), Mollem is popular destination from Goa. Visitors can see a variety of native birds, butterflies, snakes, and possibly even the illusive tiger on safari in the park. Sightseeing tours of Mollem National Park often include a meal of authentic Goan cuisine and stop at Dudhsagar Falls.

Dudhsagar Falls — 18 miles (29 km) from Goa
Located on the border of Karnataka and North Goa in Mollem National Park, the 1,000-foot (310-meter) Dudhsagar Falls is one of India’s taller waterfalls and certainly among its most scenic. The pool at the base of the waterfall is great for swimming. It takes a little more than an hour to reach the falls from Goa by road, and a full-day tour may include lunch in a local village or a visit to a spice plantation. 

Nerul River — 35 miles (57 km) from Goa
Many visitors to Goa head to the Nerul River to kayak through the backwaters, mangrove forests, and quaint riverside villages. A variety of wildlife can be spotted in the serene surroundings; it’s a peaceful immersion in nature away from Goa’s resorts and luxury hotels. Tours include a tour guide and equipment.
