It was an amazing day at Chichen Itza as Juan Carlos took great care of us from start to finish as the transportation, grounds, tour, food and drink were all top class!

What a fantastic day from start to finish.. I booked this excursion as Im currently on crutches and didnt fancy a long busy coach drive with a potentially rushed tour around Chichen Itza!
We were picked up from our hotel by Carlos at 6.10am slightly early only to be told we were the only two on todays tour, fantastic.
The Mercedes mini van was perfect, clean and really comfortable for the long journey.. Carlos explain how the day was going to go as we set off with our breakfast bags..
Chichen Itza was amazing. Carlos was so knowledgable and passionate about Chichen Itza and Mexico hes a credit to his company. I couldnt recommend him enough.
The planetarium was really interesting too as was meeting a Shaman. The lunch in the hotel was lovely as well, there was time throughout the day to look around yourself and time to buy souvenirs etc.
This was a brilliant day with a fantastic guide.. thanks

This tour is given by Mayaland resort tours. We booked this tour to accommodate Ik Kil cenote in the schedule. When we asked the coordinator how to go to Ik Kil, they were not ready to give us transportation of any kind, even though we were ready to pay the taxi and entrance fees as stated in description. Later the coordinators blatantly lied to us saying the cenote is closed for the day. We googled and verified it was not. After some angry conversations they arranged a taxi for us. Transportation and chichen itza tour was alright. But bad experience when it came to handling our requests for Ik Kil. Not worth 110, no other activities apart from Chichen Itza.

The tour itself was great but after I booked it thru Viator there was absolutely no way to contact Viator to ask any questions.....
They sent me information that was not clear as to whether I could use e vouchers or if I had to print the vouchers. Viator also sent me a phone number of the actual tour company that did not work. If you want to book this tour, contact Grayline directly and you will also save money. I tried everything I could to get a phone number for Viators customer service but was unable to get one.

This tour was a blast, kinda early departure for a vacation day but turned out to be worth it. The Mayan priest, lunch and departing before the heat got too bad made for a very enjoyable day.

We really enjoyed this tour. Of course we had to get up at o'dark thirty for our 4:50 am pickup but it was worth it as we arrived early before the crowds and the heat! Our guide was very informative and we enjoyed seeing all the sights and hearing about the history. We also got to see a planetarium show air conditioned! and had a private shaman ceremony. The buffet lunch was wonderful and the food was excellent. As were the ladies who danced for us with beer bottles and trays on their heads! There was a bit of free time to souvenir shop or take a dip in the pool. We were back at our hotel mid-afternoon with plenty of afternoon pool time left. The bagged meal we received during a bus break about halfway to Chitzen Itza was a very nice touch and saved us from having to scrounge up breakfast before we left.

Great tour! I would recommend. Juan Carlos is the unofficial Mayor of Chichen Itza He has a lot of knowledge and you are in good hands with him. Getting there early allows you to escape the brutal heat of the day and experience the ruins with very few people around. Both were worth the 4:45am pick up time. We were back in Cancun around 3:45pm. The lunch is a buffet, but the tacos are not to be missed. You have about an hour of free time to go back to the ruins or visit the vendors. I stuck around the hotel to grab a swim to cool off and got the see the resident peacock.

I highly recommend this excursion. We arrived at the Chichen Itza ruins before many of the vendors, other tourists, and extreme heat had arrived. Furthermore, the buffet lunch was delicious with authentic Yucantanean-style cuisine. Out tour guide did an excellent job explaining the ruins and showed a real passion for teaching Mayan history.

Highly recommend this tour starts before the crowds, The lunch was amazing and the detailed information is well worth the cost.

It is a good idea, but poorly designed itinerary. Very rushed during the tour of the pyramid and surrounding old ruins. No time of photophraphing and walked too fast for some of the senior tourists. They spent time on performing a prayer service for tourists, then suggested tipping for it. Would rather spending time on the ruins...
